Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Tuesday. The stock market closed lower on Monday.

According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) decreased by 24.63 points to close at 2,608.33 points today.

On Tuesday, the transaction amount increased slightly compared to the previous trading day on Monday. Shares worth Rs 3,25,87,58,0014 were traded in the market today compared to Rs 2.67 billion on Monday.

The share prices of 35 companies have increased today. The share prices of 235 companies have decreased while the price of shares of 5 companies has remained unchanged.

The indices of all 13 sub-groups have fallen. Among them, the trade sub-group index decreased the most by 1.74 percent.

Shares of Snow Rivers Limited traded at a positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share price of Corporate Development Bank has increased by more than 13 percent and the share price of Swabhiman Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by 11 percent.

Siddhartha Bank Ltd topped the list on the basis of transaction amount. The company’s shares worth Rs 13.39 crore were traded today.
