The stock market rose by 44.59 points. 

Kathmandu. The stock market rose by double digits on Wednesday. According to the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), the index of the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) increased by 44.59 points to close at 2652.93 points today. The stock market has gained 1.70 percent today. The index was down 24.63 points in Tuesday’s trade.

The trading volume has also increased along with the stock market today. Shares worth Rs 3.86 billion were traded in the market on Wednesday. Shares worth Rs 3.25 billion were traded on Tuesday.

The indices of all 13 sub-groups posted a surge today. Among them, the trade sub-group index increased the most by 2.60 percent. The sub-indices of hydropower, production and processing and non-life insurance sub-groups increased by more than 2 percent while banking, development banks, finance, hotel and tourism, investment, life insurance, microfinance and other sub-groups increased by more than 1 percent.

According to NEPSE, the shares of Snow Rivers were traded at the positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share price of CYC Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd has increased by more than 14 percent today.

Laxmi Sunrise Bank Ltd topped the list on the basis of turnover today. The bank’s shares worth Rs 28.84 crore were traded on the day. Similarly, shares worth Rs 17.5 crore of Reliance Spinning Mills were traded today.
