Kathmandu. The government has reduced the public transport fares.

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has reduced the fares of inter-province public transport today. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the transport fare by 2 percent following the reduction in fuel prices.

According to the department, the fare has been reduced by 2 percent on passenger vehicles, cargo vehicles plying on hilly roads and cargo vehicles plying on Terai routes.

The reduced fare will be effective from July 18. The fare has been reduced by 2 percent for passenger vehicles, 2 percent for goods vehicles operating on hilly routes and 2 percent for goods vehicles operating on Terai routes.
