Kathmandu. Former CPN-UML lawmaker Laxmi Mahato Koiri has been arrested.

He was arrested as per the High Court’s verdict in the murder case of Assistant Sub Inspector Thaman BK. The court has sentenced him to prison.

According to the District Police Office, Mahottari, he was arrested from a public place in front of the CPN (UML) party office at Gaushala municipality-5 of Mahottari this evening.

BK was murdered while on duty on September 11, 2015. The Janakpur High Court on July 30, 2083 overturned the Mahottari District Court’s verdict on July 30, 2083 and sentenced Koiri to five years in prison.
