Kathmandu. The Department of Foreign Employment has taken action against RK Manpower Group for violating the provisions of the Foreign Employment Act, 2064.

The department has imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on the manpower.

According to the Department, Clause 21 (3) of the Foreign Employment Act, 2064 BS has a legal provision barring the licensed organization (manpower) from sending workers by carrying out works related to personal labour permit.

The Department had also issued a public notice on April 27, 2082 to fully comply with the said legal provision.

However, during the investigation, RK Manpower was found not following the legal provisions and the instructions of the department, after which the department decided to take action on 2083/03/2008. The department has warned the organization for the first time as per Section 54 of the Act and has decided to impose a maximum fine of Rs 300,000 as per Section 52.

It is understood that the department has taken this step to control illegal processes taking place in the name of foreign employment and fraud taking place under the cover of personal labor permit.
