More than 2,000 drivers taken to task, Rs 10.5 lakh recovered

. In the last 24 hours, 2,176 drivers have been found violating traffic rules in Kathmandu Valley.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Naresh Prasad Subedi, the action was taken against 81 for drunken consumption, 101 for ride-sharing, 159 for breaching signal lights and 202 for speeding.TAG_OPEN_div_7

Similarly, 92 people flouted lane discipline, 110 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 110 for parking on pavements, 66 for one-way traffic and 1,055 for not following other traffic rules.TAG_OPEN_div_5 A total of Rs 10.62 lakh has been recovered from the action.
