3 arrested in Bal Mandir fraud case

Kathmandu. Police have arrested 3 persons on the charge of cheating Nepal Bal Sangathan (Bal Mandir).

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police arrested three persons in course of investigation into the case registered on the basis of the report of the High Level Investigation Commission on Nepal Children’s Organization and Bal Mandir, 2077 BS and the police report.

The arrestees have been identified as Asha Shrestha, 54, the then chief of the Planning and Scholarship Section of Nepal Children’s Organization, Naxal, Om Krishna Karmacharya, 62, the then president of Nepal Children’s Organization District Working Committee, Lalitpur, and Rajendra Kumar Shrestha, 51, the then secretary of Nepal Children’s Organization Kathmandu.

According to the CIB, they were arrested from different places on the charge of taking money from Nepal Bal Sangathan, Bal Mandir.
