Fake Bhutanese refugee case: Ex-deputy PM Rayamajhi sentenced to 4 years in jail and fined Rs 40,000

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU — The Kathmandu District Court has sentenced former Deputy Prime Minister Top Bahadur Rayamajhi to four years in jail and a fine of Rs 40,000 on him in the case of fake Bhutanese refugees.

A single bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Tej Bahadur Khadka sentenced Rayamajhi to four years in jail and a fine of Rs 40,000.

Rayamajhi was convicted of three offences including sedition of the state.
