Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has given relief to banks, the interest collected till July 1 can be counted on the profit of July

Kathmandu. Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has adopted a policy to provide relief to banks and financial institutions.

The new policy adopted by Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has made a provision for the banks and financial institutions to count the interest collected within 15 days of the end of the fiscal year in income.

As per the new provision, “Out of the interest income of the loan accounted in accordance with the accounting policy of the licensed institution, out of the interest income to be accounted on the basis of yield as per the directive of the bank, the amount other than the interest income received within 15 days of the end of the fiscal year shall be deducted from the amount deposited in the income tax and employee bonus and statutory fund (General Reserve Fund and Corporate Social Responsibility Fund) as per the prevailing provision and the remaining amount will be spent in the regulatory fund by spending the accumulated profits.” You have to make a deposit. If the interest amount is received, it can be returned to the accumulated profits from the regulatory fund.
