Kathmandu. Nepal Bankers’ Association (NBA) President Santosh Koirala has demanded three deputy governors at the central bank.

During the discussion on the amendment of the Nepal Rastra Bank Act in the Finance Committee today, he suggested that experts should be brought from inside or outside the Rastra Bank.

He urged the CEO of a commercial bank not to be removed under Section 20 of the Act. He suggested that there should not be a provision for not being a governor in the Rastra Bank because he is the CEO.

He demanded that the removal of the CEO and director of the bank should be removed as soon as action is taken and the policy of not allowing the CEO and director to be held for 5 years should be removed.

He suggested that the law should be kept in the law when to give a job.
