Kathmandu. The government collected Rs 11.94 billion in revenue from real estate transactions in the last fiscal year.

According to the Department of Land Management and Records, the highest revenue collection in the fiscal year 2082/83 was recorded in the month of June.

The department has provided details of revenue collection for the year. According to the report, the revenue equivalent to Rs 6.26 billion was collected in April last year. This is the second highest revenue collection of the year.

According to the department, revenue worth Rs 3.28 billion was collected in the month of July, 2022. In August, it had received only 3 billion 14 crore 7 lakh 16 thousand 335.

Similarly, there was less revenue in September and October. The government had deposited Rs 2.75 billion in September and Rs 2.74 billion in October.

The government had collected Rs 4.84 billion 84 million 81 lakh 54 thousand 832 in December and Rs 5.17 billion in December last year. In the month of January, Rs 5.99 billion was collected from real estate transactions and Rs 4.14 billion in the month of February.

Similarly, the government had deposited Rs 6.16 billion in April, Rs 6.26 billion in April and Rs 5.24 billion in May.

Last June, there was a significant improvement in the transaction and there was an increase in revenue collection. It is estimated that the increase in transactions has been made in the budget as the capital gains tax on real estate transactions will be increased from July 1. As a result, Rs 11.94 billion revenue was collected in the last fiscal year, according to the department’s data. After the Corona period and the Gorkha earthquake, the highest revenue was collected from real estate transactions in June.
