Kathmandu. 6 ministers of CPN-UML have resigned en masse from their posts in Bagmati Province. They submitted their resignation en masse to Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya today.
UML’s Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development Dr. Madhusudan Poudel is the Minister for Agriculture, Livestock, Forest and Environment, Jayaram Thapa is looking after the Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Labour and Transport, Bharat Bahadur KC is the Minister for Forest and Environment, Kiran Thapa is the Minister for Health and Social Development, and Bindu Shrestha is the Minister for Industry, Tourism, Labour and Transport.
The letter reads, “In view of the decision of the CPN (UML) as per the Article 168 (2) of the Constitution of Nepal and the current political situation, all the ministers who participated in the government have tendered their resignation with effect from today.
In a letter sent by UML Bagmati Province parliamentary party leader Jagannath Thapaliya to Chief Minister Baniya, he urged him to accept the resignation and initiate the necessary constitutional and legal process.
The UML has also withdrawn its support to the government.
