Maxus e-Terron 9 Comfort Pickup Launched

Kathmandu. Himalaya Motrax Pvt. Ltd., a part of Himalaya Organization Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Maxus brand four-wheelers under the SAIC Group of China for Nepal, today launched its electric four-wheel drive pickup service ‘Maxus e-Terrain 9 Comfort’.

Its starting price has been set at Rs 88 lakh. This special price offer is applicable only for the first 50 customers. Himalaya Motrucks has already launched the premium version of the same model. Its current price is Rs 1.28 crore.

It combines high technology and powerful battery capacity. It has a capacity of 102.2 kWh. This is the largest battery pack among the imported electric vehicles in Nepal.

It offers a range of 560 km on a single charge. With support for 115kW DC fast charging, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in about 42 minutes. The vehicle has two motors, 125 kW at the front and 200 kW at the rear. It produces a total torque of 700 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. It has a maximum speed of 190 km/h. The vehicle has a payload capacity of 1,050 kg and a towing capacity of 3,500 kg.

The company claims that this vehicle can be operated on all types of roads in Nepal. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 260 mm. It has an approach angle of 29 degrees and a departure angle of 25 degrees. Double wishbone front suspension, multi-link independent rear suspension and all-terrain system ensure a stable and comfortable journey for the driver and passengers.

Equipped with five-seat cabin, it features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, a six-way electric driver’s seat, automatic air conditioning and a separate AC outlet at the rear. Keyless entry/start, automatic headlight, one-touch power window and outdoor power are also available. The pickup has received a 5-star safety rating from the prestigious Euro NCAP.

Currently, the vehicle has showrooms in Kathmandu and Pokhara. According to the company’s managing director Saurav Thapa, the company is selling the products from the same showroom. Service outlets are operational in 6 other cities, he added.

The company is all set to unveil Max’s luxury microbus at the upcoming Naima Mobility Show.

Speaking at the program, Himalaya Organization President Dhruba Thapa said that this electric pickup will be very easy to travel on the ups and downs and rough roads of Nepal.

This vehicle will fulfill the same needs of Nepali consumers.”
