Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Account Officer of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-30, Uddhav Bhattarai, has been arrested with Rs 21,000 in bribe.
A team from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested Bhattarai on the charge of taking bribe from service seekers.
The team was mobilized on the basis of information that the service recipients were taking bribe while providing recommendation from the ward office to close the permanent account number (PAN) in the ward. The team caught him red-handed.
