Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Suspended Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Protective Micro Insurance Company (CEO) Naresh Kumar Rokka has jumped into the Bagmati River today.

Rokka, 59, of Chandragiri municipality-13 jumped into the Bagmati River near Thapathali bridge at around 4.30 pm today.

He was immediately rescued with the help of locals and police and taken to the Trauma Center for treatment. Police said further investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the jump into the Bagmati river.

He was suspended on June 12 after a case was filed on June 12 on charges of committing offences under the Securities Trading Act and Insurance Act when he was the CEO of Protective Micro Insurance Company.
