Kathmandu. The talks between the talks team formed by the Ministry of Finance and the microfinance victims have concluded today.
“Today’s talks are positive and solution-oriented,” the ministry said. The meeting has been postponed for today to be held again on Friday.
Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle had formed a committee to hold talks with the agitating microfinance victims. The talks team was formed under the coordination of Mahesh Acharya, joint secretary at the Ministry of Finance, on Thursday and held talks with the victims.
The other members of the committee are Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Law Binod Kumar Bhattarai, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs Suresh Panthi and Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank Ramu Poudel.
