Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index increased by 4.79 points to close at 2,667.97 points.
Today, the NEPSE index also increased along with the transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 4,07,08,53,610 were traded in the market on Tuesday and Rs 4,40,98,86,457 was traded today.
Share prices of 122 companies increased while share prices of 143 companies declined. Similarly, the price of shares of 11 companies has remained unchanged.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of five sub-groups have increased while the indices of other seven sub-groups have fallen. Today, the trade sub-group index increased the most by 1.60 percent. Likewise, the indices of hydropower sub-group increased by 4.5 percent while the indices of hotel and tourism, production and processing and other sub-groups increased marginally.
Investors of Solu Hydropower Company Ltd were the biggest gainers in the trading today. Today, the company’s share price has increased by 15 percent. Solu Hydropower Ltd topped the list on the basis of turnover today. Shares worth Rs 58.10 crore were traded today.
