Kathmandu. The Transport Management Service Office has collected a total of Rs 19.44 million in revenue in the last fiscal year 2082÷83. In the last fiscal year, about Rs 5 million more revenue has been collected than in the fiscal year 2081÷82. According to the Transport Management Service Office, the increase in revenue is due to the increase in the number of drivers’ licenses, vehicles and quick service delivery.

According to Rajendra Karki, chief of the office, Rs 18.88 lakh has been collected from pocket and route permit, Rs 64.92 lakh from vehicle registration fee, Rs 668,000 from advance income tax, Rs 1,575 from arrears and Rs 13.93 million from vehicle tax.

In the same period, a total of 620 licenses were distributed, including 188 under motorcycle, scooter and moped category (A), 38 licenses under car, jeep and delivery van category (B) and 394 driving licenses were issued.
