Kathmandu. The District Land Problems Resolution Committee, Jhapa, has distributed land ownership certificates to 13 families of ward no 3 and 6 of Kankai municipality.

The committee distributed land ownership certificates to 13 landless squatters, landless Dalit and unsystematic families. According to the details made public by the committee, some of the land is for housing and some for agriculture.

Locals who have not been able to own land in their name for a long time have become legal landowners after getting land ownership certificates.

The government has given high priority to addressing the problems of landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers.

The distribution of land ownership certificates has been taken forward more effectively as per the government’s goal of making landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers legal landowners by addressing the problems of landless Dalits, landless squatters and unsystematic settlers in a long-term manner.
