What are the 11 major decisions of the Council of Ministers?

Kathmandu. The government has taken 11 important decisions through the cabinet meeting. The meeting decided on issues related to aviation service, education, border management, disaster preparedness, foreign relations and government services.

The government has decided to approve the Software Development and Operation Committee Formation Order 2083. Similarly, the Japanese government has decided to accept the grant assistance amounting Rs 2.73 billion to be provided by the Government of Japan for the project related to improvement in air traffic control at Tribhuvan International Airport.

The meeting also decided to send a delegation under the leadership of Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs to attend the 14th meeting of the Joint Working Group on Border Management to be held in India. Also, approval has been given to establish a sub-center of Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in Nepal.

1. To approve the Software Development and Operation Committee Formation Order, 2083.

2. To accept the grant assistance equivalent to approximately Rs 2.73 billion from the Government of Japan for the project related to improvement of air traffic control at Tribhuvan International Airport.

3. Permit a delegation led by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs to participate in the 14th meeting of the Joint Working Group on Border Management to be held in India on September 18 and 20.TAG_OPEN_em_33

4. To approve the establishment of a sub-center (branch) of Asian Disaster Preparedness Center in Nepal.

To give approval to the Nepali delegation led by Minister for Foreign Affairs to participate in the 81st United Nations General Assembly to be held in New York, USA.TAG_OPEN_em_31

6. Monthly remuneration grant provided by the federal government for early childhood development facilitators, school staff and school helpers. To increase at the rate of 5,000 (five thousand).

7. The salary of teachers working under the Teaching Assistance Grant quota at the secondary level (class 9-10) and basic level (class 6-8) shall be maintained at par with the secondary third class and lower secondary third class respectively.TAG_OPEN_em_29

8. To agree to sign a bilateral air service agreement between the Government of Nepal and Saudi Arabia.

9. To approve the submission of the bill designed to amend the Payment and Settlement Act, 2075 to the Federal Parliament.

10. To give approval to table the bill designed to amend the Citizen Investment Trust Act, 2047 BS to the Federal Parliament.
