Kathmandu. Tata Motors has launched its new electric SUV ‘Sierra EV’ at the NADA Auto Show. Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd. showcased the Sierra EV in the Nepali market at the NADA Auto Show that kicked off on Tuesday.
The Sierra EV is powered by a 75kWh battery pack. According to the company, it provides a range of 530 km on a single charge. It is powered by a 175kW motor for the rear wheel drive (RWD) variant and a 225kW motor for the all-wheel drive (AWD) variant. The motor produces a maximum torque of 504 Nm.
The exterior design makes the Sierra EV a modern and attractive SUV. It gets full LED light bars, projector LED headlamps, flush-type door handles, signature rear quarter glass and 18-inch alloy wheels. The roof spoiler and shark-fin antenna add to its design.
Ultra-guide suspension is used at the front and independent suspension at the rear. The company claims that the frequency-dependent damping technology will provide a comfortable driving experience. Similarly, a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof is provided in the entry variant.
Based on the Acti.EV platform, the interior of the Sierra EV has been built on a dual-tone theme. It features a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch information display, an 8-speaker audio system, automatic climate control, wireless Android auto, steering-mounted control and keyless entry.
For connectivity, the IRA.EV Connected Car Suite comes with more than 70 smart connected features. 5G connectivity, wireless charging, and 15 multimedia features also make the Sierra EV tech-friendly.
On the safety side, including six airbags, 19 safety features are available under the electronic stability program. Disc brakes are installed on all wheels. The entry variant also gets a rear camera with rear parking sensors and dynamic guidance.
With this, Tata’s Sierra EV brings design, range, technology and safety into one package.
