. Rasuwa: A massive flood occurred in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning. Locals living near the river are in fear and security agencies have been put on alert.

Chief District Officer of Rasuwa, Narendra Pariyar, said that a big flood occurred in the Bhotekoshi River at around 9.15 am on Wednesday.TAG_OPEN_p_4 However, the exact details of the cause of the floods and the damage caused by it are yet to be ascertained.

Residents living along the banks of the river have been urged to move to safer places after the floods.TAG_OPEN_p_3 Teams of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and local administration have been mobilized for rescue and relief preparedness.

The administration has urged the people to stay alert and avoid unnecessary movement in the areas surrounding the river. The District Administration Office said that further details about the cause of floods, the condition of the flow and possible damages are being collected.
