Rescue and search operation intensified in Syaphrubesi and Timure areas of Rasuwa

Kathmandu. The government has intensified rescue, search and relief operations for the survivors immediately following floods occurred in Syaphrubesi and Timure areas of Rasuwa district this morning.

It has also directed the concerned Chief District Officer to shift the people of the low-lying coastal areas to safer places. It is also continuously disseminating information to other people who may be further affected by the floods to evacuate to safer places. People have been urged not to travel on the Prithvi Highway, Galchhi-Nuwakot-Rasuwa Syafrubesi road and Muglin-Narayangadh road due to floods.

Immediately after the directive from Prime Minister Balendra Shah, the bodies concerned have mobilized their mechanisms and intensified rescue, search and relief in the flood-hit areas. The disaster management in the district has intensified its activism. Teams from Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and District Administration have intensified rescue and search for the victims. Meanwhile, the Nepal Army has also stepped up rescue and search for the missing persons.

Two helicopters of Nepal Army along with medical teams have been dispatched to the affected areas for possible rescue and relief. Helicopters of private companies have been kept on standby for rescue and search.
