Kathmandu. Coordinator of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has expressed sorrow over the flooding in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district from Tibet and appealed the general public to adopt high alertness.
Taking to social media on Wednesday morning, Prachanda urged the people to stay in safe places, saying there was a risk of flooding in the rivers of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan.
He also urged the people to fully comply with the directives issued by the local administration and security bodies. He stressed the need for security agencies, political parties, civil society and the general public to unite to make the rescue, relief and humanitarian assistance effective as it was the first and foremost responsibility of the people during the time of disaster.
He also directed the entire party rank and file of the Communist Party of Nepal to immediately mobilize in the affected areas. He also urged the party cadres to actively engage in rescue, relief and humanitarian services by coordinating with the local administration.
He urged the people living on the banks of the Bhotekoshi River to take special precaution and stay in safe places keeping in mind the possible risks.
