Kathmandu. Rasuwa: A total of 114 people have been rescued by helicopters from Nepal Army and private sector following the flooded Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district on Wednesday morning. The Nepal Army has rescued 85 people in various flights while the helicopter companies of the private sector have rescued 29 people.
According to the Nepal Army, 60 people were rescued from Timure-Dhunche, 13 from Timure-Trishuli, 5 from Mailung, 4 from Betrawati and 3 from Trishuli to Kathmandu.
Similarly, in the private sector, Kailash Helicopter rescued 5 people from Rasuwa to Teaching Hospital, Simrik from Rasuwa rescued 3 people from Rasuwa, Annapurna Helicopter rescued 4 people from Rasuwa to Teaching Hospital, 5 more people from Rasuwa, 2 more from Simrik, 5 from Fishtail and 2 from Everest Helicopter. Prabhu helicopter has rescued 2 more people from Rasuwa to Bir Hospital.
Rescue operations have been intensified in the flood-affected areas. The injured and those in need of treatment have been taken to hospitals in Kathmandu.
