Surya Nepal donates Rs 150 million to Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund

Kathmandu. Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd. has donated Rs 150 million to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund. The company met Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle and handed over a cheque of this amount.

According to Surya Nepal, the amount has been provided with the aim of helping in the relief, rescue and rehabilitation of the citizens affected by natural disasters. The company has said that this amount is the largest contribution from the private sector so far to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund.TAG_OPEN_p_6

Surya Nepal’s Managing Director Gaurav Tayal, Vice-Presidents Dipra Laheri and Rabi KC and General Manager Prem Aryal were present on the occasion. They handed over a cheque worth Rs 15 crore to Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle.TAG_OPEN_p_5

On the occasion, Finance Minister Wagle expressed the belief that the social responsibility and the spirit of cooperation shown by the private sector during the difficult time of disaster would help make the relief and rehabilitation works more effective.TAG_OPEN_p_4

At present, the government is engaged in relief, rescue and rehabilitation works at a time when there has been a huge loss of life and property due to floods, landslides and other natural disasters in different parts of the country. In such a situation, the support of Surya Nepal is expected to help in the efforts to provide relief to the affected communities.
