Lalitpur. The Nepali Congress has decided to donate Rs 1 crore to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to help the flood victims. Giving information about the meeting held at the party’s central office today, party spokesperson Devraj Chalise said that it has been decided to deposit Rs 1 crore in the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
“The government needs to intensify relief and rescue works, expedite efforts for the rescue of people trapped in tunnels, focus on search and rescue results, and take the help of international experts if our capacity is not available,” he said.
Spokesperson Chalise said that attention should be paid to give responsibility to the local level to make the relief to the victims effective and urged them to provide immediate relief to the victims. He said that the people of different districts have also been affected by the floods when they reached Rasuwa and Nuwakot for tourism and business.
