Shankar Group donates Rs 4 crore

Kathmandu. Shankar Group has donated Rs 40 million to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the relief and rehabilitation of the people affected by the national disaster.

Director of Shankar Group, Deepa Agrawal and senior management team met Finance Minister Khatiwada and handed over a cheque of Rs 40 million to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.TAG_OPEN_p_6

Earlier TAG_OPEN_p_5, Shanker Group in coordination with the Ministry of Home Affairs had provided 2,500 tarpaulin sheets worth Rs 2.5 million to the displaced people on the third day of the disaster.

The group has paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the disaster and expressed condolences to the bereaved family members. It also expressed gratitude to the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police, volunteers and government officials involved in the rescue and relief work, wishing for the safe rescue of the disappeared.

Stating that it was their responsibility to stand shoulder to shoulder with the government and citizens at this time of national crisis, the Shanker Group has pledged to continue supporting the relief and rehabilitation works in the days ahead.
