Kathmandu. In August 2026, 85,444 tourists from different countries came to Nepal.

According to the information provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, 3,000 fewer tourists visited Nepal as compared to August last year. In August 2025, 88,680 tourists visited Nepal.

In August, the highest number of tourists came from India at 26,373. This is 30.87 percent of the total tourist arrivals. After India, 10,304 tourists from China are from Nepal. Similarly, 8,710 tourists from Sri Lanka, 6,293 from America, 4,487 from Bangladesh and 3,476 from Britain have arrived.

Regionally, the highest number of tourists in August was 41,422 from South Asia. 18,275 tourists came from other Asian countries. 10,875 tourists came from Europe and 2,529 from Oceania. Similarly, 7,473 tourists came from the Americas, 1,010 from the Middle East and 338 from Africa.
