KATHMANDU — Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has wished that the festival of Bada Dashain further strengthens the spirit of harmony that unites the society.

In a message of best wishes to all Nepalis on the occasion of the Bijaya Dashami festival, he wished that the self-confidence to overcome the weaknesses within oneself, empathy and sense of social harmony would be further strengthened.

“We are celebrating Dashain this year at a sensitive time of national calamity and pain. Many families are in sorrow, pain and hardship. At this time, the joy of our festivals should not be limited to our homes and courtyards. Let us be able to soothe the pain of the families in distress, share our happiness and support each other,” President Thapa said in the message.
