Kathmandu. Work on the affected areas of the Langtang Khola Hydropower Project will begin from today. A total of 23 people, including 15 from the Nepal Army and eight from the technical team of the project, have been deployed at the project site.

According to the project, security personnel and technical teams have set up a camp at the project site and are preparing to proceed with the work. The necessary equipment is also being airlifted to the project site by helicopter.

With the arrival of equipment at the project site, preparations have been made to cut the penstock pipe and start the work within 150 meters of the tunnel and pipeline from today. The project said that the work could be completed by this evening or tomorrow, depending on the progress of the work and the condition of the site.

The project has said that the mobilization of Nepal Army and technical teams would be effective in rehabilitating the structures affected by the disaster and removing the obstruction.

Many projects have been damaged after the devastating floods in the Bhotekoshi River last Wednesday. It is said that if the government works in coordination with all the projects on time, then the work can be expedited.
