Rs 7.88 billion raised in Prime Minister’s Relief Fund: PM Shah

Kathmandu. The number of financial assistance for the flood-affected people of Rasuwa is increasing.

Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives today, Prime Minister Balendra Shah said that the government of Nepal has been collecting financial assistance for the flood-affected people through the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund and Prime Minister Relief Fund.

According to him, Rs 7.88 billion has been deposited in the relief fund till Wednesday. Out of this, Rs 1 billion was released to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority from the fund yesterday. Out of this, Rs 67.5 million has been released to 15 flood-affected municipalities of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Tanahun.

The fund currently has Rs 6.88 billion in reserve and additional Rs 6.141 million has been deposited.
