Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index increased by 15.44 points to close at 2,538.11 points.
Along with the stock market, the trading volume has also increased marginally today. Shares worth Rs 2.94 billion were traded in the market today compared to Rs 2.94 billion on Tuesday.
The share price of Upkar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by 11.87 percent. Similarly, the share price of Upper Mailung Khola Hydropower has increased by more than 10 percent while the share price of Aatmanirbhar Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by more than 10 percent.
On the basis of turnover, Sanima Middle Tamor Hydropower topped the list today. Shares worth Rs 14.17 crore were traded today. Similarly, shares worth Rs 12.5 crore of NRN Infrastructure and Development were traded today, while the turnover amount of Solu Hydropower crossed Rs 12 crore.
Out of the 13 sub-groups traded today, the indices of 11 sub-groups increased while the indices of two sub-groups declined. The index of hydropower sub-group increased the most by 0.95 percent on the day. The indices of mutual funds and non-life insurance sub-groups decreased marginally on the day.
