Beni Hydropower IPO Issue

Kathmandu. Beni Hydropower Company has issued an initial public offering (IPO) to the general public from today. The company has issued 8,63,200 units of shares at a face value of Rs 100 per share to the general public.

The issued capital of the company is Rs 1.04 billion. 20 percent of the issued capital i.e. 20.80 lakh shares have been allotted to the general public. Out of this, 10.40 lakh shares were already allotted to the local residents of the project-affected Solukhumbu district.

Out of the total offered shares to the general public, 1,04,000 units have been set aside for the employees of the company and 52,000 units have been set aside for the mutual funds.

The company can apply for the IPO till September 19. NMB Capital has said that if the application is not received as per the demand within this period, the application can be made till September 22. Investors can apply for a minimum of 10 units and a maximum of 10,000 units.

In the second phase, the company is issuing 8,63,200 units of shares to the general public after allotting the shares to the project-affected locals, Nepalis who are in foreign employment, employees and mutual funds.
