Kathmandu. CG Motors, the official distributor of ION, is all set to add a new model to its lineup.
The company has been selling the Ion Y and Ion V in the Nepali market so far, out of which the Ion V has received a lot of interest and love from the customers. Now the new electric hatchback of the same brand is coming to the ION UT Nepal.
The Ion UT is the same model that recently received a 5-star safety rating in the crash test of the European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP). According to the report released on September 3, the UT scored 91 percent in crash safety, 88 percent in accident safety, 74 percent in accident prevention, and 66 percent in safe driving.
This result is a testament to the quality of UT in a market like Europe with strict safety standards.
Built on the AEP 3.0 platform of the Eion V, the UT is 4,270 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,575 mm tall. The company claims that due to the long wheelbase of 2,750 mm, the hatchback will get SUV-level cabin space. In the international market, this LFP is available with a magazine battery and gives a range of 335 to 430 km (WLTP) on a single charge, depending on the variant.
CG Motors will soon unveil details of variants, battery packs, range and price in Nepal.
