Kathmandu. The stock market fell on Wednesday. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index fell by 15.43 points to close at 2,545.40 points.

Although the stock market fell on Wednesday, the transaction volume has increased. Shares worth Rs 3.83 billion were traded in the market on the previous trading day, i.e. on Monday, shares worth Rs 4.19 billion were traded today.

The indices of all 13 sub-groups that were traded today declined. Among them, the index of development bank sub-group decreased the most by 2.37 percent. Similarly, the indices of finance, hotel and tourism, non-life insurance and business sub-groups decreased by more than 1 percent today.

Today, the shares of Upper Lohore Khola Hydropower Company traded at a positive circuit level. Share prices of Emerging Nepal, Sindhu Bikas Bank and Janaki Finance fell by 15 percent today.

Reliance Spinning Mills is at the top today on the basis of turnover amount. The company’s shares worth Rs 42.76 crore were traded on the day.
