Buddhi Akela appointed as Assistant CEO of Global IME Bank

Kathmandu. Buddhi has been promoted to the post of Assistant Chief Executive Officer (ACEO) of Global IME Bank. He is currently working as the Deputy General Manager of the bank.

With more than 22 years of experience in the banking sector, Akela started his banking career in 2004 as a deputy manager from Nepal Bank Limited. He has been continuously associated with Global IME Bank since 2006.

During his long banking career, he has held key portfolios such as Integrated Risk Management, Business Expansion, Branch Operations, Credit Administration and Internal Audit. He was currently working as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the bank.

He also serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Global IME Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited, a subsidiary of Akela Bank.

He holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Pokhara University.

Akela’s long experience, risk management and overall operational competencies will contribute significantly to make the bank’s service delivery more effective, safe and qualitative in the days ahead.
