22 construction contracts stalled for years in Dolakha scrapped

Kathmandu. The contracts of 22 contractors who have been stalling development works in Dolakha for years have been terminated.

The contract of contractors who did not take the responsibility for the construction of various projects from the Road Division Charikot under the Ministry of Infrastructure Development has been terminated.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure Development, the process of legal action has been initiated against the contractors who have been delaying construction works in different parts of Dolakha district by signing contract agreements since the fiscal year 2079/80.

The contract was terminated after the Road Division failed to move ahead despite repeated warnings.

A notice has been issued to recover the remaining amount from the contractor within 30 days after assessing the cost of completing the remaining work and the damage.
