Kathmandu. The counting of votes for the post of vice-president and general secretary under the 15th general convention of the Nepali Congress has concluded. According to the final results of the vote count, Dr. Chandra Kanta Bhandari and E. Madhu Acharya have been elected under the open category. Binod Kumar Chaudhary has been elected as the vice-president.
Pradip Poudel and Uday Shumsher Rana have been elected as general secretaries. In the woman general secretary category, Dr. Dila Sangraula (Pant) has been elected.
Vice-President Chandra Kanta Bhandari gets the highest number of votes in the open category
.
In the counting of votes under the open category, Dr. Chandra Kanta Bhandari secured the first position with 3,735 votes. Engineer Madhu Acharya got 2,342 votes.
Among other candidates, Govinda Bhattarai got 1,752 votes, Surendra Raj Pandey got 1,673 votes, Dhanraj Gurung got 1,596 votes, Deepak Giri got 923 votes and Prof Dr. Chandra Mohan Yadav got 760 votes.
Binod Kumar Chaudhary elected in the inclusive category
Binod Kumar Chaudhary won the post of vice-president with 1,745 votes. His nearest rival Jeevan Pariyar got 1,658 votes.
Similarly, Farmullah Mansoor got 1,144 votes, Sita Gurung got 1,112 votes and Ranjit Karna got 562 votes.
Pradip Poudel and Udaya Shumsher Rana win general secretary open category
Pradip Poudel secured the first position with 4,194 votes. Uday Shumsher Rana won the post of General Secretary with 2,330 votes.
Among the other candidates, Dr. Sunil Kumar Sharma got 2,257 votes, Gururaj Ghimire got 1,513 votes, Nain Singh Mahar got 1,134 votes, Amar Singh Pun Magar got 1,125 votes, Shankar Tiwari got 123 votes and Dr. Santosh Upadhyay got 97 votes.

For the post of woman general secretary, Dr. Dila Sangraula (Pant) got 3,118 votes. Her rival Mahalaxmi Upadhyay (Dina) got 2,864 votes. Similarly, Rita Khanal got 804 votes.
