Kathmandu. Deposit and loan flow has increased in Madhesh Province since mid-July.

According to the annual report of the economic activities of Madhesh Province by the Nepal Rastra Bank, the deposit collection increased by 17.32 percent to Rs 478.37 billion compared to the same period last year. Such deposits had increased by 16.68 percent to Rs 407.73 billion in the same period of the previous year.

According to the NRB, the loan disbursed by banks and financial institutions to Madhesh Province had decreased by 0.18 percent to Rs 494.95 billion as of mid-July last year compared to the same period last year.

Such loans had increased by 3.62 percent to Rs 495.86 billion in the same period of the previous year. The loan-deposit ratio stood at 103.46 percent in mid-July 2018. In the previous year, this ratio was 121.61 percent.
