Kathmandu. The government has suspended the National Private and Boarding Schools Association Nepal (N-PABSON).

The Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended N-PABSON in accordance with Section 6 (2) of the National Directive Act, 2018 until further decision.

According to the Ministry, the organization has repeatedly not followed the directives given as per the Clause 5 of the National Directive Act, 2018 and the office-bearers of the organization have been found to have violated the government-approved statute and the main objectives of the organization.

The Ministry had held discussions with the concerned stakeholders on October 7 and urged them to work as per the directive issued by the Ministry on November 30. However, the ministry has decided to suspend the organization as it did not work as per the directive.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a public notice regarding the suspension, clarifying that it will be illegal to carry out activities by any group or group in the name of the organization. The ministry has informed that action will be taken against those involved in such activities as per the prevailing law.
