Damauli. Pokhara: The work of blacktopping the eastern section of muglin Pokhara road has been completed. Construction company China Communication Construction organized a program at Bimalnagar of Bandipur Rural Municipality-4 in Tanahun today to share happiness after the completion of the four-lane blacktopping of the road from Abukhaireni to Jamuna.

Representatives of construction companies, consultants and workers were present on the occasion. Engineer of Muglin Pokhara Road Project (Eastern Section) Bishnu Prasad Pandey shared that the programme was held informally after the completion of the main blacktopping work. He said, “The blacktopping of the four-lane ‘double lane’ from Abukhaireni to Jamuna in the eastern section has been completed. ’

According to Pandey, only small works are left in the eastern section. Road safety and road marking works are also being carried out in the 41.5-km stretch. According to him, the blacktopping work was completed within three years and the last 456 days of signing the agreement. The deadline for this section is July 15.

The work on the eastern section was started from April 15, 2018 after signing an agreement on January 1, 2017. China Communications Construction has bagged the contract for the eastern section. The four-lane road has been constructed with the help of a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as the number of vehicles on the road drawn in 2026 BS has increased. The contract for the eastern section has been awarded for Rs 6.21 billion.
