Kathmandu. The Public Procurement Monitoring Office under the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has sought explanation from 11 construction companies.

The government has directed to submit a written explanation within seven days giving reasons for not blacklisting the companies recommended for blacklisting by various public bodies.

The government has asked the companies recommended to be blacklisted by the public body but have the basis proof that they should not be blacklisted to submit a written explanation within 30 days. The government has already sent a notice to the construction company. However, the government has directed to submit a written explanation within seven days as the written explanation has not yet been submitted.

The companies asked for clarification are Shivam Construction (Nepalgunj), Galaxy Construction and Suppliers Company Pvt Ltd (Kathmandu), Jay Mayuri Trading Pvt Ltd (Morang) and Purnagiri Construction Service (Dadeldhura).

Metal Craft and Suppliers Pvt. Ltd. (Birgunj), Silk-Sinomac-Global Matics-Vidh JV (Lalitpur), U&I/Himchuli JV (Dolpa), Durga Nirman Sewa Sorhawa (Bardiya), Dipjyati Construction Service Bariyarpatti, (Siraha), Associate Contractors and Trading Company (Palpa) and AYSA Construction and Suppliers (Gulmi).
