Revenue collection up 11.33 per cent

Kathmandu. In the last fiscal year 2081/82 BS, revenue of Rs 1,178.82 billion was collected.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the revenue collected in the last fiscal year is Rs 120 billion more than in the fiscal year 2080/81. In percentage terms, the revenue collection in the last fiscal year is 11.33 percent higher than the previous fiscal year.

According to the Ministry of Finance, revenue of Rs 1,058 billion was collected in the fiscal year 2080/81 BS. The target was to collect Rs 1,419 billion revenue in the fiscal year 2081/82 BS. However, the ministry had revised the half-yearly review to set a target of Rs 1,286 billion. According to the revised target, 91.60 percent of the revenue has been collected.

According to Uttar Kumar Khatri, chief of the Revenue Division at the Ministry, the revenue collection has been encouraging compared to the previous fiscal year despite the challenges posed by the disaster and international situation. “We have already started preparations,” he said, adding, “We will move ahead to meet the revenue collection target in the current fiscal year.” ’

The target is to collect Rs 1,315 billion revenue in the current fiscal year. In the fiscal year 2071/72, rs 405 billion, Rs 481 billion in 2072/73, Rs 609 billion in 2073/74, Rs 726 billion in 2074/75 and Rs 829 billion in 2075/76 were collected.

Similarly, rs 793 billion was collected in 2076/77, Rs 935 billion in 2077/78, Rs 1066 billion in 2078/79, Rs 957 billion in 2079/80 and Rs 1058 billion in 2080/81.
