Kathmandu. On the second trading day of the week, the stock market rose on Monday. The stock market fell on Monday after falling on the previous trading day. Today, the NEPSE index rose by 16.46 points to 2875.36 points.

Nine hundred forty-seven thousand 755 units of shares of 325 companies were traded today with a turnover of Rs 10.82 billion.

Banking rose 1.66 per cent, hydropower 0.25 per cent, investment group 0.11 per cent, life insurance 0.50 per cent, microfinance 0.50 per cent, mutual fund 0.08 per cent and business 2.89 per cent. Development bank fell by 0.06 percent, finance company by 0.82 percent, hotel and tourism by 0.34 percent, production and processing by 0.12 percent, non-life insurance by 0.51 percent and other groups by 0.45 percent.

Shares of Three Star Hydropower Limited rose the most by 6.89 per cent today. However, the share price of Trade Tower Limited has seen a negative circuit.
