Stock market up 18.30 points, 8.5 billion

Kathmandu. On the last trading day of the week, the stock market closed higher on Thursday. The market, which has been closed for the last two trading days, has closed today.

On Thursday, the NEPSE index rose by 18.30 points to 2850.37 points. Similarly, the Sensex rose 2.61 points, the Float Index rose 1.06 points and the Sensitive Index gained 0.89 points.

Along with NEPSE, the transaction amount has also increased on this day. On the previous trading day, shares worth Rs 7.63 billion were traded, while on Thursday, shares worth Rs 8.53 billion were traded.

The index of all the 13 sub-groups has increased on Thursday. Among them, the index of finance sub-group has increased the most by 1.38 percent. Today, the index of production and processing and other sub-groups has increased by more than 1 percent. The index of the other sub-groups has increased slightly today.

Shares of Sixes Hydropower rose the most by 9.81 per cent on the day. Similarly, the share price of Barun Hydropower has increased by more than 9.5 percent, while the share price of Makar Jitumay Suri Hydropower Company has increased by more than 7.5 percent. Today, the share price of Unnati Sahyog Laghubitta Financial Institution has fallen the most by 8.26 percent.

Liberty Energy Company is at the top position on this day in terms of transaction amount. Shares worth Rs 390 million of the company were traded today. On the other hand, shares worth Rs 370 million of Shivam Cements were traded.
