Pokhara-Jomsom flight resumes after two months

Mustang. Pokhara-Jomsom air service has resumed after two months. With the monsoon, air traffic was decreasing and services were suspended for two months due to adverse weather conditions.

Tara Airlines, a sister concern of the private airline Yeti Airlines, had suspended flights from July 15 and Summit Airlines from July 15.

Chief of Jomsom Civil Aviation Office, Deepak Pokharel, said that the flights have started with the onset of the tourist season. According to him, the twin-otter aircraft of Summit Airlines has started operating flights for Pokhara-Jomsom flight from today.

On the first day today, summit airlines aircraft made two flights from Pokhara to Jomsom, pokharel said. On the first day of the first flight, the aircraft landed at Jomsom Airport with 36 passengers on board. Office Chief Pokharel informed that three heli companies have operated eight flights to Mustang today alone.

Tara Airlines will also fly here after a week. Sujan Lalchan, jomsom station in-charge of Tara Airlines, said that the airline will operate flights on September 7.
