Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has expressed deep sorrow over the huge loss of life and property during the recent Zenji agitation across the country.

KATHMANDU: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) has said that the industrial and business sectors have suffered serious losses due to the recent agitation across the country.

Issuing a statement on Thursday, the NCC expressed deep sorrow over the huge loss of life and property. The Chamber has drawn the attention of the stakeholders to adopt dialogue, cooperation and restraint in the current challenging situation.

“Today’s need is for all stakeholders to take seriously the issues raised by Genji such as prevention of corruption, maintenance of good governance, transparency of state machinery, employment generation and easy access of citizens to government services,” the chamber said.

The NCC has stressed that all the stakeholders should seek a way out by being calm as the huge loss of life and property during the agitation would further cause gloominess in the country, disturb the industrial and business environment and adversely affect the investment-friendly environment.

The chamber has called on the stakeholders and youths of the Genji generation to find a long-term solution through dialogue and constructive cooperation to prevent such incidents from happening in the future.
