Bhojpur. The youths who had worked abroad for many years but did not get the expected income and satisfaction have now returned to their villages and have started earning a lot through commercial agriculture, herbs and animal husbandry. They are reaping huge benefits from the business they have started with the experience and experience of abroad.
Prem Bahadur Basnet of Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality-1, Timma is an example of this. Basnet returned to his village and joined the business after he did not earn as much as he had expected despite sweating in various countries abroad for a long time. According to him, he is earning good income from goat farming and herbal farming in the village. Basnet said that there is no problem in managing the household expenses from the enterprise he is doing in the village by staying with his family.
“I suffered a lot in foreign countries, but my income was not enough,” Basnet said, adding, “Now I am living in my village and doing herbal farming along with goat farming.” The business started in the village is earning better than in foreign countries. I realized that if I worked hard, I would get a good income. ’
He said that he is engaged in agriculture work with the goal of becoming an example in the village for those who want to go abroad. He shared his experience that if he could continue in business, he could benefit from it gradually. “We think of making a lot of profit in a short period of time,” he said, “But we have to be patient for some time to get income from the business.” If you continue to work in your work, you will get success. ’
He feels that those who want to join the enterprise must take knowledge and skills in related work. He said that minimum skills are required to do any business. He suggested that the state governments should provide necessary training to farmers before they can join the enterprise.
Many youths who have returned from abroad in different rural areas of Bhojpur district are now attracted towards commercial agriculture and animal husbandry. But they complain that they lack the technical knowledge, training and veterinary services required to run the business.
According to them, if the services provided by the state level are simple and accessible, they can earn good income by staying in the village.
