55,000 visitors visit Naima Expo in two days

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026 kicked off at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu on Tuesday. Nepal Automobiles Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA) organized the expo on the second day of the expo.

Visitors have been found booking their favorite cars. According to the companies participating in the expo, there is equal interest among the visitors in expensive and cheap cars and motorcycles.

Dinesh Maharjan, who visited the fair from Dilli Bazaar of Kathmandu, said that the Naima Expo is an important opportunity to book cars as per one’s capacity. “I was thinking of buying a car on the occasion of the Naima Expo,” he said when he met at the fair venue at 3:00 pm. From 11:30 a.m. till now, I must have boarded 18-20 vehicles. ’

A large number of people were watching and understanding the facilities by riding vehicles of many brands in the fair. Observers are particularly interested in battery capacity, motor, range, after-sales service, among others.

The companies have also provided various facilities to attract customers. They have provided discount on prices, one year insurance, one year vehicle tax, free servicing and low-rate loans.

On the second day of the launch, four new models of different brands have been launched. On the first day of the launch, 48 new models were launched by various brands. More than 26,000 visitors visited the fair today. More than 29,000 visitors visited the fair on the day of its inauguration. Around one and a half lakh visitors are expected during the fair.

The second edition of the expo, organized with the objective of promoting sustainable, green and technology-friendly transportation system in Nepal, will run for six days i.e. August 14. Domestic and multinational vehicle manufacturers and importers are participating in the expo. The major attraction of the expo is the first-time brands as well as new models of electric cars, e-scooters and electric commercial vehicles.

In the expo, banks and financial institutions and insurance companies are providing special offers and concessional loans for the purchase of vehicles.
